New unit at St Peter’s A new Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit has opened opposite our A&E department at St Peter’s. The unit will see patients diverted from A&E and MAU who do not require immediate medical attention and are unlikely to require admission as an inpatient, but need to undergo further tests or observations before being discharged home.

Celebrations at both hospitals It’s been a long time in the planning, but last month former East Enders actress Nina Wadia (who lives in Staines) came to open the new Outpatient Department at Ashford Hospital.
Chief Nurse Award Congratulations to staff on Holly Ward, who are the July winners of the Chief Nurse Award. Chief Nurse Suzanne Rankin said: “I am really proud of the team on Holly Ward. After understanding that some improvements in patient care could be made, they took the initiative themselves, and made the necessary changes."
