- What will happen to ASPH as a result of Fit for the Future
Fit for the Future is the review process that is ongoing into how the NHS can change for the better for a more secure future. Although no final scenarios on the future of healthcare across Surrey have been agreed - this will be the responsibility of the new Surrey PCT which begins on 1st October - it is likely that we will be seeing a full public consultation on health services across Surrey, from the end of the year.

- Health Care Record Filing - Setting it Straight!
A new leaflet is available to all staff involved with the filing of health care records. Patient's records are a vital part of their ongoing care, and ensuring that the records are neat and set in the correct order is a vital part of the process. For this reason it is important that everyone involved in the process of compiling patient's records, from ward clerks to doctors and nurses to medical records staff, everyone who has contact with the patients health care record document will need to be filing items in the same way.

- Annual review 2005-06
Welcome to our Annual Review for 2005/06 and the first edition of our newly designed Aspire Magazine. We want to give local residents, our patients, partners and staff a snapshot of just some of our achievements and developments over the last year. With a staff of over 3,000, and two distinct hospital sites – at Chertsey and Ashford – it is impossible to describe all we have done, but I hope this will give you some idea of the breadth and quality of the services we provide and of the hard work and dedication of our staff.

- Look what we've achieved
Over two years of hard work finally came to fruition this week as the main part of the reconfiguration of services across our two hospitals was completed – namely the transferring of all emergency medical care to St. Peter’s and the opening of the new NHS Walk-in Centre at Ashford. Of course there has been a lot more to reconfiguration than this, and there is still more work to do but in the meantime, we can be extremely proud of what we’ve achieved so far!
